Your virtual assistant is a real person
I work with a lot of self-employed folk who run what you might describe as a 'microbusiness', it's just them, working solo. As things start to pick up, it's common to leverage the benefits of geo-arbitrage and engage the services of a so-called "virtual assistant". Allow me, if you don't mind, to have a rant about the (subconscious) racism inherent in this job title, and the negative real-world effects that follow on from it.
