Before you write your book
If you want to bring your idea to life, you should stand on stage and speak about it. If you want to give your idea a legacy, you should sit down write a book about it.
The holidays are nearly here, so you're probably not about to find a conference to speak at in the next month or two, and that means now might be the perfect time to write a book!
I'm the author of two books so far, and I can see at least five more in my future. The process is incredibly rewarding. You learn an enormous amount about yourself and your expertise in getting it down on paper.
And, in the process of writing my books (and being married to the editor-in-chief at Hambone Publishing, Mish Phillips), I've learned a couple of things about how to smooth out the process, especially if you're not going through one of the big publishing houses.
One of those things is to use a template to avoid a slow, painful process when it comes time to typeset your book. Old habits die hard, and many of us have TERRIBLE habits when it comes to word processing! If you're anything like me, you're a typesetter's worst nightmare.
Paying someone to fix your mistakes at the end is slow, expensive, and prone to error. It's much better to get it right from the start, and we've put something together to help you do just that. It's a writing template file you can download, and a video that explains how to use it.
It's free, it's simple, and it'll save you loads of time and money.
You'll find it at Hambone Publishing.
